Program Outcomes:
  • The NCCCLP develops community college leaders who connect, care, and collaborate. Participants develop and enhance essential skills to support their current and future leadership roles in the North Carolina Community College System. The Leadership Program provides networking opportunities for participants to discover and apply best practices for current community college needs. Verify that you will be able to attend the four retreats and one webinar. Much of our work is done in teams and your punctual presence is highly valued and needed by your team members.

  • The retreats are three day, two night events and most of the hours are filled with important learning experiences. Plan accordingly to be able to participate in all activities.

  • Hotels have blocked rooms at state rates for the retreats. It is your responsibility to contact hotels by the reservation date to secure your room and to make arrangements with your community college for lodging payment for the November, January, and February retreats.

  • While there is scheduled time for teams to work together during the retreats, a lot of work is completed on your own time. Be prepared to communicate and work with your team members between retreats. Technology-based components are integrated in the program’s structure. Participants must have access to a computer and Wi-Fi.

  • Self-study is a critical part of your leadership learning experience. Homework is assigned and should be completed on time.

  • Realize that, if you are selected to participate, your learning will be rewarded by your hard work and commitment to the program.

  • Tuition is $1,200. The fee covers instruction, materials, inventories, all lunches and single occupancy lodging at the first and last retreats.
