Developing leaders who
connect, care, & collaborate.
Our 6 month leadership program provides participants with organized, face-to-face experiences to help them develop leadership skills needed to strive in a community college atmosphere.
Who We Are
The North Carolina Community College Leadership Program was founded in 1989 by Dr. Pat Akers. With more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Pat Akers is continuously evolving NCCCLP by implementing new, innovative strategies that will propel the next generation of leaders.
Outcomes of the Program
Participants will develop and enhance essential skills to support their current and future leadership roles in the North Carolina Community College System. The program provides networking opportunities for participants to discover and apply best practices to deal with current community college issues.

The program is highly experiential in nature and participants work in teams to create an ideal community college. The program's structure is built on the platform that good leaders develop through an ongoing process of self-study, education, training, networking, and experiences.
